Have you heard about the new collaboration between Google and ISTE to teach digital citizenship in schools? I took a look at the new game Interland and the curriculum today. There are many support materials ready to use and accessible to the average teacher. The game itself seems engaging for students. I would like to test it with my students to see if they actually pay attention to the facts presented on the screen or if they are more concerned with the jumping, shooting light beams, etc involved in the gameplay. My first impression is that this will be a simple way for the average classroom teacher to add specific instruction in digital citizenship without using too much prep time or class time. I give it two thumbs up.
