March is finally here! For those of us in the northern United States, hope is in sight. We have braved the long winter, and while there is still snow on the ground, in March my thoughts turn to the preparation of our school garden for planting. The book Rooftop Garden by Danna Smith is a great introduction to community gardening. Barefoot Books has even published a catchy song to go with the book.
Obviously, the STEAM connection here is to plan your garden space, start your plants and document what happens as they grow. Here’s looking to a beautiful spring and summer full of wonderful and productive gardens in schools all over the world.
